Paola’s children have been playing soccer since kiddie kickers and soccer has been a part of the family from the beginning.  With her cancer diagnosis and the pandemic, Paola often voiced how much she missed her “soccer weekends” the most.  All the games, the drives, the hectic mornings of trying to get 4 kids ready was a big part of the family’s life.  And don’t forget practices spread out over 3 different parks.  The minivan was nicknamed “The Richmond Family Soccer Mobile”.  Paola just enjoyed watching the kids play and growing up. Only 1 kid is currently playing soccer due to cost and logistics on getting to practice and games.  I hope the 2 at Lakeside will try to play at school if they desire to do so. Their Dad played all his life up to about 22 to 25 and Paola was from Peru and enjoyed watching the USA compete and also Peru.
