Salvador Ortiz love for soccer started as a young boy so he knew he needed to get his daughters involved. Salvador’s eldest, Raquel joined her first soccer team when she was 4 years old and he got his middle daughter Samantha involved at only 3 years old back in 2008. When Salvador’s youngest, Madison became 3 years old, in 2012, he was her first coach.

Salvador became a coach to his 3 daughters’ teams in different years along his journey. Salvador was a single father and he knew the importance of maintaining his daughters active and out of trouble even when everyone was on vacation and were offseason, he signed his daughters up for speed and agility classes just so they could keep improving and to keep them off from tv. Often Salvador encouraged other parents to keep bringing their kids to soccer, he even got different family members interested in the games his daughter would play. For Salvador weather, distance and time was not an issue he would make sure his daughters wouldn’t miss their practice or their games.

Through soccer, Salvador met wonderful people that came out to show their love and admiration for him at his funeral. Salvador was only 38 years old when he passed away on May 27, 2018. Salvador had so many plans for his daughters and Salvador’s family would like to continue his dream of keeping his daughters involved in this amazing sport that he loved so much. Salvador’s dedication over the years to help his daughters improve themselves paid off. They do wonderful in school. He prepared his daughters to keep going and not to let obstacles in their journey stop them. Salvador’s soccer family from Nasa Top Hat remember him as a devoted father, always helping other parents he even became their translator for the Spanish members.

With great sadness, the family of Salvador Ortiz, Jr. announces his unexpected passing, on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at the age of 38 years. We all remember Salvador as an easy-going and level-headed person. Salvador was not only a son, brother, friend but also a devoted father. He lived to prepare his three beautiful daughters, whom meant the world to him, for a successful and bright future. As a full-time father, he consistently supported his daughters’ dreams and aspirations. Salvador Jr. will be lovingly remembered by his three daughters Raquel-(14) Samantha-(13), Madison Ortiz-(8). He is survived by his immediate family Salvador Ortiz Sr. (Father), Rosa Tejeda (Mother), Adriana (Sister), Rocio (Sister), Marlene (Sister). Salvador, Jr. will forever be remembered by his extended caring family members and dear friends.
