The Father Christmas Cup is an annual charity soccer tournament raising money for local families who have recently lost a parent.
The Father Christmas Cup originated from the ideas of the 1914 WWI Christmas truce where German and English soldiers stopped fighting and played a soccer match in the middle of no man’s land. The Father Christmas Cup uses as its fundamental basis this powerful depiction of hope for peace and civility and regard for one’s fellow man.
